THE PRIME RIB’S LIBRARY BAR TRANSFORMS INTO “DRINKS IN TOYLAND” FOR THE HOLIDAYS
The Prime Rib’s semi-private Library Bar will harken to vintage holiday toy shops, and will feature specialty cocktails, festive décor to celebrate the season plus a way to give back to those in need
PHILADELPHIA (November 13, 2024) – Beginning on Saturday, November 16, guests of Live! Casino & Hotel Philadelphia can step back in time into a world of whimsy at “Drinks in Toyland” a new holiday pop-up at The Prime Rib’s Library Bar. The pop-up will run through Saturday, January 11, offering space to reconnect with friends and family over the holidays, host team outings, and find a bit of comfort and nostalgia during a busy time of year. An inspired cocktail menu will be offered, focusing on classic libations with a twist made with winter spices and fruits. Hours of operation are Thursday through Saturday, 5-10 p.m.
The enchanting space, inspired by vintage toy shops brimming with play things that spark wonder at every turn, will take over The Prime Rib’s Library Bar. Twinkling lights, antique toys, tinsel, ornaments, and more will bring the bar to life. Guests will be invited through an entrance decorated with lush greens, snowy windows, and an oversized holiday wreath. Within the cozy-chic space, the bar area will be adorned with classic toys and ornaments, lush red draping, green velvet seating, and tinsel trees. A plush sofa surrounded by toys will be the perfect place to grab friends and take a group photo.
Guests may enjoy a special holiday cocktail menu featuring: the Gingerbread Espresso Martini, made with Cantera Negra Silver Tequila, Cantera Negra Café liqueur, gingerbread syrup, and freshly brewed espresso served in a coup glass garnished with a gingerbread cookie crumb rim, whipped cream, and a gingerbread man; Toy Shop Sangria made with red wine, Belle de Brillet Pear Liqueur, St. Remy Brandy, cinnamon spiced syrup, and cranberry juice in a fishbowl glass with sugared thyme, cranberries, and a cinnamon stick; Gin & Jolly, a spin on a classic gin fizz cocktail is made with The Botanist Gin, egg white, ginger syrup, lime, lemon peel, and club soda poured into a coupe glass garnished with ginger candy; Chocolate Peppermint Martini, which combines Tito’s Vodka with chocolate liqueur, simple syrup, and peppermint syrup in a martini glass with a crushed peppermint and chocolate rim, and a peppermint stick; and Naughty but Nice, made with Redemption Whiskey, cinnamon simple syrup, dried chili peppers, dried vanilla bean, eggnog, and a dash of orange bitters in a double old-fashioned glass with cinnamon all spice rim and a cinnamon stick.

For those hoping to give back during the holidays, guests may give to Toys-For-Tots which will have a donation station set up within the pop-up. The Tito’s cocktail will also have a charitable component, Tito’s Handmade Vodka will donate $1 for every Chocolate Peppermint Martini purchased up to $5,000 to Toys for Tots.
