Fighting Hunger and Homelessness in Philadelphia
PHILADELPHIA (April 10, 2025) – Live! Casino & Hotel Philadelphia has once again been recognized by the Philadelphia Business Journal as a Partners in Philanthropy award winner for its support of Philadelphia-based nonprofits. This year’s award highlights the commitment of Live! Philadelphia with the grassroots nonprofit, Together We Can Change, a local organization which provides food, necessities, and dignity to individuals experiencing homelessness and food insecurity in Philadelphia. Angela Graves, Founder and CEO of Together We Can Change, was also named a Philadelphia Business Journal 2025 Faces of Philanthropy winner.
Live! Casino & Hotel Philadelphia has been a dedicated partner of Together We Can Change since 2021, providing critical financial support, hundreds of hours of volunteer time, and thousands of dollars’ worth of publicity value to elevate the nonprofit’s mission. Last year, Live! Philadelphia organized a four-day initiative that delivered over 400 nutritious meals and packed hundreds of amenity kits filled with toiletries and clothing as part of the Martin Luther King Jr. Weekend of Service. Live! team members joined Angela and her team on the streets of Philadelphia and personally distributed these supplies with care and compassion to those in need.

Over the past year, the partnership between Together We Can Change and Live! Philadelphia has grown – with the property hosting a week-long poker tournament to benefit the organization, which raised $6,200. In addition, Rachel Carpenter, a Live! Philadelphia corporate officer joined the organization’s Board of Directors, offering strategic insight as the nonprofit continues to grow.
