Named one of the Top 100 Greatest Stand-Up Comedians of All Time by Comedy Central, Griffin has entertained audiences for almost 35 years. As an actor, he has appeared in over 50 films since 1990, including the 2018 Academy Award-winning feature “A Star is Born” and starred as Anton Jackson in the 2002 film “Undercover Brother”. His stand-up comedy specials have received critical acclaim, including “Def Comedy Jam”, the Cable Ace Award-nominated HBO special “One Night Stand”, the Showtime special “Undeniable” and Comedy Central’s “You Can Tell ‘Em I Said It.”
Griffin won the NAACP Image Award for Best Actor in the hit comedy series “Malcolm and Eddie” in 2000. He later starred in the film “The Comeback Trail” alongside Morgan Freeman, Robert De Niro and Tommy Lee Jones, and premiered his third Showtime stand-up comedy special Eddie Griffin: E-NIGGMA in 2019. Currently, Griffin performs his weekly Las Vegas residency, “Live & Unleashed” at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino.
