Martinez established South Philly Barbacoa, a restaurant that has managed to capture the authentic essence of Mexican cuisine in a new environment. Her work has been recognized internationally, and in 2022, she was honored to receive the James Beard Award in the category of "Best Chef: Mid-Atlantic." The recognition not only celebrates the authenticity of her cuisine, but also the hard work and passion that she has invested in each dish.
