Stand Up NY’s dynamic Korean American comedy phenomenon “K-Comedy Showcase with Friends!” takes over The HALL at Live! Casino & Hotel Maryland on Sunday, July 12. The show starts at 7:00 PM, with doors opening at 5:30 PM.
PERFORMERS
Ron Song is a Los Angeles-based comedian known for a low-key, dry conversational storytelling style and sharp, deadpan wit. He achieved widespread recognition for his breakout role in Freevee’s Emmy-nominated Jury Duty and has since appeared in major projects like FX's Grotesquerie and Steven Spielberg's Disclosure Day.
Alex Kim is a rising NYC-based comedian whose sharp, personal storytelling heavily draws from his experiences navigating family dynamics and queer identity. A prominent figure in the AAPI and LGBTQIA+ comedy scenes, his highest credits include performing at Lincoln Center, co-hosting the podcast Where Are You From, From?, and co-producing Boba Gays Comedy.
Peter Liu is a dynamic, NYC-based comedian whose "smart, personal, and a little unhinged" style blends sharp observational humor with wild family stories to roast cultural norms. He has built a strong presence on Don’t Tell Comedyand earned high-profile credits opening for global comedy heavyweights like Ronny Chieng, Joe Wong, and Jason Leong at iconic venues like The Comedy Store.
Adam Mamawala is a nationally touring comedian with a casual, candid, and irreverently clever style that skillfully draws from his biracial heritage and modern relationships. Recognized by Forbes as a rising AAPI comedian to watch, his top credits include starring in Amazon Prime's Under Cover Comic, releasing two #1 iTunes comedy albums, and touring alongside Dane Cook and Jon Stewart.
Eunji Kim is a sharp-witted, Chicago-based comedian whose high-energy storytelling deftly blends bold observational humor about identity and dating with a fearless, fast-talking delivery. Her impressive credits include recurring TV roles on NBC’s Chicago Med and Chicago Fire, serving as a senior writer for Cards Against Humanity, and releasing her comedy special Just A Lady.
Thom Tran is a Los Angeles-based comedian whose comedy style masterfully blends sharp storytelling with raw, observational humor deeply informed by his military background and transition to civilian life. As the creator of the GIs of Comedy Tour, his highest credits include appearing on Netflix's Larry Charles' Dangerous World of Comedy and starring alongside Morgan Freeman in the feature film My Dead Friend Zoe.
MJ Standup Korean (Dr. Mina Cheon) is a New York-based comedian and global artist whose unique comedic style blends sharp art history jokes, message-driven political satire, and dark romantic comedy.
